Online gambling company Betfair has contacted its customers in Austria to inform them that it will be withdrawing its betting exchange from the country on July 14.
In an email to its Austrian customers, Betfair said that it had opted to pull its betting exchange service as a result of a ‘business analysis’ process.
The email advised customers to complete any outstanding bets on Betfair Exchange before the service is withdrawn later this month.
However, Betfair confirmed that its other services would not be affected by the decision and its Austrian customers will still be able to access its online fixed-odds betting, casino, arcade and poker products.
Betfair also confirmed in the email that its betting exchange and all other products will still be available in Great Britain, Malta, Gibraltar, Ireland and Denmark.
Betfair is yet to publically announce the withdrawal.
