The Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) regulatory body has issued a notice to BetSoft Gaming ordering the 3D online slots developer to suspend operations immediately.

AGCC executive director André Wilsenach issued BetSoft’s parent company, Digitus Limited, with the suspension notice last week under Regulation 91 of the Alderney eGambling Regulations 2009, in addition to a hearing notice under Regulation 90.

BetSoft must now cease to offer gambling specific software to Category 1 and Category 2 eGambling licensees, as well as Category 2 Associate Certificate holders.

The ruling will remain in place until the suspension notice is cancelled or AGCC commissioners reach a determination at a yet-to-be-arranged hearing convened in accordance with Regulation 90.

The AGCC will hear the matters contained in the hearing notice at a regulatory hearing, which will take place in due course.

The regulator noted that if there is a change to this information, then the notice will be amended accordingly.

BetSoft is yet to comment on the news.
