Just last month, PokerStars recorded its staggering 50 billionth hand. The world’s largest and most well-known online poker room is proud of that number which is hard for the average person to wrap his head around.
The winner of the 50 billionth hand is a relative unknown player who goes by the name tbvle. He beat out five other players to win the pot of $26 in addition to winning $50,000 for having the milestone poker hand.
As the record-breaking hand was about to be dealt, the action was stopped, allowing the quarter of a million players online to check out the historic play. Players watched as the six players at the table held on through the pre-flop while tbvle won with pocket queens.
It is reported that tbvle has played about 290,000 hands during the past year and a half at a rate of several hundred a day, so he surely has gotten a good deal of practice.
