Yahoo Glitch Causes Online Gamblers Trouble this Week

Yesterday some users could not access Yahoo.com for several minutes. A spokesperson from Yahoo has apologized to any users who could not use the second largest search engine to find the websites they were interested in visiting. Twitter was all abuzz yesterday afternoon concerning the unavailability of Yahoo as it is a rare occurrence for Yahoo to be out of service.

Many online gamblers use Yahoo to find the types of casino games they are interested in playing. Whether or not this inconvenience affected the number of new players signing up for casinos is unknown and will probably remain so. Both Yahoo and Google are the two most used search engines in the world which are used extensively by players looking for new casinos to try their luck at.

In the U.S., online gambling is still considered to be a taboo subject. The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act was passed in ’06 but the law did not make it a crime for players to take part in online gambling. There is a whole lot of gray area concerning the definition of online gambling, confusing consumers. Yahoo is back up and running as usual today so online gamblers should have no problems finding the casinos they’re looking for.
