Foxwoods Plans Internet Gambling Site

Foxwoods Development Company is considering the development of an online gambling website available to users in Europe. Foxwoods would partner with Goodson Gaming for this project; Goodson Gaming’s president, Jonathan Goodson, was responsible for the production of hit television shows such as The Price Is Right and Family Feud.Join GuruPlay Poker now!

“We’re going to pursue a license or licenses in those jurisdictions where Internet gaming is fully legal, regulated, and taxed,” said Gary Armentrout, president of Foxwoods Development Company. “We’re proposing a unique business model combining a live TV game show with an Internet gaming site, and cross-promoting both to drive customers to the TV show as well as to the gaming site.”

The Internet gambling site would operate as “a viable, licensed site,” said Armentrout. Gamblers would be able to visit the website independent of the actual game show, however, Armentrout believes that “the connection to the game show is what makes this [venture] unique.”

Armentrout was sure to specify that the partnership, called Velocity Gaming, will in no way be operating in the United States.

Foxwoods Development Company will not be making an up-front capital investment in the venture; however, it is an equity owner alongside Goodson Gaming.

“We are contributing our expertise in casino operations, games management, and marketing in the same way Goodson is contributing expertise in television game show production,” said Armentrout.

Goodson Gaming is a part of Goodson and Gaming Solutions International, a company that has been working in the lottery industry for over 25 years.
