Jacob Johns, one of the lead horse racing tipsters at odds comparison site Easyodds, has signed up for today’s Tipster Challenge at Towcester.

Johns graduated from Bristol University with a degree in Psychology, but quickly changed career paths when joining Easyodds as a data manager, before moving to his current position as deputy editor.

He will be going up against 11th placed Stephen Harris and the experts from Timeform in 12th. Harris, who represents leading affiliate bettingexpert, returned 11.57 points at Hereford last time out.

bettingexpert: Bandon Roc

Can complete the hat-trick with the emphasis on stamina at this stiff track certain to suit.

Timeform: Bandon Roc

Has returned from a break in great heart and a 7Ib penalty shouldn’t prevent a quick-fire hat-trick.

Easyodds: Bandon Roc

He’s going for a quick-fire hat-trick after two wins already in February, both by very wide margins. Whilst he’s been put up seven pounds since his last win he’s likely still well handicapped.

bettingexpert: Socksy

Remains unexposed for this excellent yard and can improve for a step up in trip.

Timeform: Act Now

Bolted up at Plumpton on Monday and looks well treated turned out under a penalty, so commands maximum respect.

Easyodds: What A Diva

She was an impressive course and distance winner last time and this looks to be her optimum trip. Her form since finishing behind Desert Sensation the last time she took on 23 furlongs has worked well.

bettingexpert: Buttercup

Very hit and miss but looks very well treated here against some rivals who are starting to look in the handicappers’ grip.

Timeform: Krackatoa King

Looked better than ever when runner-up at Chepstow last time on what was only his second outing for this yard, and can go one place better despite the drop back in trip.

Easyodds: Yanmare

He’s already racked up three wins from five starts this season and was unlucky not to add to that tally last time. The long-time leader jumped right across him causing a bad error which he did well to recover from and nab second.

bettingexpert: Solighoster

Has nothing to beat and will win barring accidents.

Timeform: Solighoster

Has made a good start under Rules, confirming his bumper promise when running out an easy winner on hurdles bow at Fontwell last month. He looks to have been found an excellent opportunity under a penalty and is hard to oppose.

Easyodds: Solighoster

Took his form to a new level last time when bolting clear to win by 17 lengths. He should be much better than these.

bettingexpert: Snowball

Has run well in better races in all three runs over fences and seems sure to go well at a big price.

Timeform: Lunar Flow

Seemed to be transformed by the blinkers in an easy win at Uttoxeter on Saturday, and is hard to oppose under a penalty.

Easyodds: Snowball

Dropped a long way in the weights over fences and ran with credit when fifth of 12 last time. Won off 16 pounds higher over hurdles last term and should be more at home on this softer surface.

bettingexpert: Project Mars

Looked a stayer on his bumper debut at Warwick and this stiffer track will suit much better.

Timeform: Astrapaios

The form of his Ffos Las third has worked out and he looks the way to go with improvement on the cards second time up.

Easyodds: Corzeam

Nigel Twiston-Davies has a decent strike-rate in bumpers, especially first time out. Also, a useful claimer takes off seven pounds.
