More Mobile Casino Games May Be Coming

WagerWorks, one of the world’s most elite developers and providers of online casino games, has indicated that a recent merger may result in more mobile casino games being developed and offered to the public.

The company serves 50 different casino operators and offers a library that contains over 100 titles from which their casino operators can choose. These titles range from online slots and video poker to roulette and blackjack games.

WagerWorks is owned by International Game Technologies, a company that focuses on producing video slot machines for bricks-and-mortar casinos. International Game Technologies also owns Million-2-1, one of the United Kingdom’s leading suppliers of mobile phone gambling services.

International Game Technologies announced that the company will be merging WagerWorks with Million-2-1 into a single global gaming division. This new company will be headquartered in San Francisco, California, and as a result, Wager Works will be able to offer more mobile casino games.

“Merging our online and mobile business units under the [International Game Technologies] brand will solidify our position as a leader in interactive gaming,” said Gideon Bierer, executive vide president of International Game Technologies. “In the last five years in the UK alone, we have handled more than $10 billion in online wagers and are currently processing more than 1.5 billion online transactions each year. As technology advances and markets evolve, we look forward to accelerating our product innovation and significantly growing our interactive business.”

Currently, WagerWorks offers mobile gambling games through websites such as Blue Square Mobile Casino and Mecca Bingo Mobile. Many hope that the new merger will result in more variety of mobile gambling games from the software group.
