Alex Carr, Affiliate Program Manager at Pinnacle Sports, becomes the latest expert to take the Tipster Challenge at Bath.

He has been in the iGaming industry for 6 years, and joined Pinnacle Sports in January 2016 to oversee an ambitious expansion of Affiliate Marketing activities.

He is extremely passionate and enthusiastic about all things sport, with interests ranging across a wide spectrum from horse racing to baseball.

He will be going up against Timeform, Stephen Harris of bettingexpert and SBC News, as we look to keep our lead and close on 100 points for the competition.

See below for all today’s tips, which includes 3 out of 4 experts backing favourite Beausant in the 2:20.

SBC News: Pack it In

A 7lb penalty, but very comfortable in victory here just 7 days ago and should have too much.

bettingexpert: The Juggler

Could be sharpened up by first time cheek pieces and has some scope to do better with George Baker an interesting booking.

Timeform: Palisade

Bred to be smart and looks open to plenty of improvement now handicapping. Recent-C&D-winner ‘Pack It In’ is the obvious threat under a penalty.

Pinnacle Sports: Pack it In

Although it is top weight, jockey Jordan Uys claims 7 pounds, dropping it down to a much more competitive weight of 9-5. Whilst it only ran 7 days ago, it should have enough in the tank not to be hampered by his previous outing.

SBC News: Beausant

Impressed at Newbury last week and should take some beating in this one.

bettingexpert: Beausant

Has improved on decent ground in recent weeks and posted a career best effort when second at Newbury last time out.

Timeform: Beausant

Has really got his act together, hinting at better yet in the pipeline when second at Newbury last week, and he remains one to be interested in.

Pinnacle Sports: Clovelly Bay

This horse stands out to me like a sore thumb. The drop in class should provide this Irish 5-year-old a very good chance to add to its 1 single win so far in its first race of the season.

SBC News: Mahfooz

Improved upon his Doncaster outing with a runner up finish at Wolverhampton just a few weeks ago. Set to strike it 3rd time lucky.

bettingexpert: Girling

Represents a stable to follow this season and should be very hard to beat if repeating her reappearance effort.

Timeform: Girling

Held in some regard looking at her entries, and though beaten on her reappearance she shouldn’t be judged too harshly on that, and can come out on top upped further in trip.

Pinnacle Sports: Mahfooz

Girling is the clear favorite for this race and for good reason, but the odds are too short for me. Next best horse in the race is Mahfooz and whilst he will have his work cut out to secure his first win, I think he is the better value bet and can definitely challenge.

SBC News: Sharjah

The stable is going well, and has 7 race wins between 1m 2f and 1m 4f to his name on good ground.

bettingexpert: Phantom River

Alan King has his team in great form right now and this trip should suit his unexposed handicapper.

Timeform: Sharjah

The booking of Silvestre De Sousa on the Irish raider Sharjah suggests they mean business, so he shouldn’t be overlooked.

Pinnacle Sports: Phantom River

Although an uninspiring ride last time out at Chepstow, William Twiston Davies takes the reins again on Phantom River once again. With the favourite a N/R, this is a wide open race and the value looks to be on this Filly.

SBC News: Captain George

Has shown good form at Wolverhampton and is well equipped to last the distance, but needs to allay fears over his ability on the turf.

bettingexpert: Kenobe Star

Represents astute connections and caught the eye under quiet rides in his three qualifying runs.

Timeform: Celestial Dancer

Few appeal but at least she arrives in form and could be the way to go. It is interesting that Eastern Magic’s best run for Ben Case last year came in a similar race here on his reappearance, so a big effort could also be forthcoming from him.

Pinnacle Sports: Captain George

2 Winners in 3 races and beaten by a single length in its last time out, Captain George has shown it has the ability to be a danger at this level. Hasn’t always shown its ability on turf in the past but I fancy it to turn that form around at Bath today.

SBC News: Awesome Allan

Should be the stand out horse in this race, but a 6lb penalty makes this one tough to call.

bettingexpert: Battaash

Those with experience look ordinary, so Charlie Hills Dark Angel colt would not need to be much to go close here first time out.

Timeform: Nuclear Power

This could go to a newcomer, with expensive Breeze Ups buy Nuclear Power selected for a yard whose newcomers have done well this year. Sans Souci Bay is an obvious alternative for the Hannon team.

Pinnacle Sports: Sans Souci Bay

Although Awesome Allan has proven he can win at this distance, he suffers a penalty as a result of his win previously at Windsor and I think this will be just enough to put him out of contention. Meanwhile, Sans Souci Bay looks to make an impressive debut in this 5-furlong affair (2 elder foals of the same mare were first race winners).

SBC News: Zeeoneandonly

Looking to follow up last week’s victory at Salisbury and should have enough speed to defy the penalty.

bettingexpert: Annie Salts

Improved towards the end of her juvenile campaign and looks let in lightly here against more established performers.

Timeform: Remember Me

Should have come on plenty for her Kempton reappearance, and the booking of De Sousa and a 3lb drop in the weights makes there even more to like about her chances.

Pinnacle Sports: Zeeoneandonly

Philip Prince claims 3 on board of Evans’ Irish Filly in this 5-furlong sprint. This course and distance winner has had success already this season and looks to follow up last week’s victory at Salisbury with another at Bath. She carries a penalty, but over this distance I don’t see it being enough to stop her.
