Francesco Rodano joins Playtech as Chief Policy Officer

redanoFormer Italian Head of Remote Gaming for the Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli (AAMS), Francesco Rodano has joined Playtech Plc’s executive team as Chief Policy Officer (CPO).

A European regulatory expert, Rodano will advise and guide Playtech on international policy corporate initiatives and practices within the context of further new regulations entering the gambling sector.

As Head of Remote Gaming for AAMS,  Rodano reformed the Italian regulatory framework and oversaw the introduction of a comprehensive range of regulated online products, including poker in 2008 and casino games in 2011, attracting more than 100 licensees to the market.

Since 2012 Rodano has been a member of the European Commission’s Group on Gambling Services, where he supported a draft of the formal initiatives recently adopted by the Commission.

Rodano will be based out of Playtech main headquarters in London and will report directly to CEO Mor Weizer.
