Kate Lampard CBE new Chair of RGT Trustee Board

Screen Shot 2016-06-22 at 11.24.36Industry charity the Responsible Gambling Trust (RGT), a UK organisation committed to minimising gambling-related harm and raising operator consumer safety standards and practices has announced Kate Lampard CBE as its new Chair of the Board of Trustees with immediate effect.

Lampard a former barrister and senior executive of the National Health Service replaces Neil Goulden as Chair of the RGT Trustee Board.

A UK legal expert, Lampard  recently led independent investigations into allegations of sexual abuse by Jimmy Savile in NHS hospitals, and into allegations of abuse at Yarl’s Wood Immigration Removal Centre.

As a result of the appointment of Lampard as chair,  for the first time ever the RGT Board will have a majority of Trustees who are wholly independent of the gambling industry.

Philip Graf CBE, Chair of the UK Gambling Commission welcomed the RGT’s appointment of Lampard

Kate Lampard CBE commented on being new Chair of the RGT Trustee Board:
