Beginning its third football season on the 3 October the ‘Hero Indian Super League’ (ISL) has moved to strengthen its match fixing monitoring capabilities by joining Sportradar’s Integrity Services Platform.

Sportradar will now monitor all ISL 2016/17 matches for suspicious betting patterns, and will further consult and assist ISL governance regarding strengthening its league integrity and preventing match-fixing.

Announcing the partnership, ISL governance stated that integrity monitoring by Sportradar was needed in order to maintain the leagues commercial development and continue its growing popularity with Indian sports audiences.

ISL governance further noted that preventing match-fixing, would help aid Indian grassroots football development as India seeks improved performance on the international stage.

Releasing a statement, ISL governance commented on joining Sportradar’s Integrity Services Platform; The Hero Indian Super League continues to go from strength to strength and by bringing Sportradar on board, we have highlighted our commitment to the integrity of our league and we look forward to another exciting competition.”
