Updating the market, Australian Slot machine and gambling technology provider Aristocrat Leisure Ltd (Aristocrat) has confirmed that Patrick Ramsey will step down as Chief Digital Officer joining the firm’s board as a non-executive advisor.

Aristocrat governance plans to execute its executive change by 1 October, subject to gaining regulatory approval.

Ramsey joined Aristocrat in January 2016 overseeing the firm’s digital development and client delivery. Aristocrat governance informed corporate stakeholders that executive search firms had been contacted with regards to Ramsey’s replacement.

Aristocrat stated that it would consider both ‘internal and external’ candidates to replace Ramsey of its digital lead.

Issuing a statement, Aristocrat Chairman Ian Blackburne commented on Ramsey joining the firm’s board

“Pat’s intimate knowledge of Aristocrat’s operating environment, his understanding of digital gaming and his deep expertise in our largest market of North America – including his successful tenure as the CEO of a North American gaming business – will further strengthen the board’s capabilities,”

Commenting on his departure from Aristocrat day-to-day operations, Ramsey stated’: “I am proud of the growth we have delivered to date in the digital business, and I am equally excited about our strategy and the potential we have yet to unlock,”

Further adding: “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to be part of Aristocrat as a board member going forward.”
