Betsson AB appoints Telenor’s Kaaren Hilsen as new CFO as group continues European expansion

The governance of Betsson AB has confirmed the appointment of Kaaren Hilsen as new Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) replacing long-term incumbent Fredrik Rüdén who will depart the operator this coming August.

Issuing a corporate communication, Betsson informs that Hilsen will join the firm’s executive team ‘no later than 1 November’.

Hilsen joins the Stockholm-listed online gambling operator from Telenor Sweden, where she has served as CFO since 2013. As a Telenor executive, Hilsen has worked extensively in developing and expanding the telecoms operator in new markets of Eastern Europe and Asia.

Taking over CFO duties, Hilsen will be tasked with group financial planning and auditing as Betsson AB continues its European regulated market M&A growth strategy.

Updating investors Ulrik Bengtsson, CEO and President of Betsson AB was pleased to have promptly found an executive replacement for Fredrik Rüdén, commenting on the appointment of Hilsen:
