Leading sports and intelligence firm Sportradar has announced that it will act as lead integrity partner for the Brazilian Football Federation (Confederação Brasileira de Futebol – CBF).
The partnership will see Sportradar systems monitor all football matches across all CBF syndicated leagues, as Brazilan football increases its provisions against match fixing and corruption.
The CBF will integrate match monitoring utilising Sportradar’s Fraud Detection System. Furthermore, Sportradar will advise and consult CBF staff and stakeholders on guidance with regards to match-fixing detection, game intelligence and prevention of sports crime.
CBF President Marco Polo Del Nero underlined: “Our commitment is on the integrity of all the competitions, safeguarding all matches from any interference. The betting market is growing and we have to ensure that our competitions are not hit by despicable integrity attacks. We were looking for a leading partner in the world market, with widely recognized work and which already had a broad knowledge of the Brazilian football structure. At present, Sportradar monitors betting patterns on Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and Série B as well as the Brazil Cup through previous agreements with international football governing bodies. CBF governance has granted Sportradar the right to now monitor ‘all-levels’ of Brazilian football.
