williamhillsignWilliam Hill’s retail betting division has begun the launch of 800 SG Gaming self-service betting terminals (SSBTs) across its UK estates.

The ‘roll-out’ forms part of a wider agreement struck between William Hill and Scientific Games’ UK-facing subsidiary SG Gaming, which has become the bookmaker’s main hardware and terminal partner.

Following the initial roll-out, a further 1200 terminals will be distributed across William Hill’s retail portfolio, with SG Gaming offering the bookmaker’s staff support and training on the new terminals.

SG Gaming Chief Executive Phil Horne was pleased to announce that the integration was completed ‘on schedule’ praising his firm’s engineering team.

“This is a significant achievement for our business and we are thrilled that it has been undertaken so seamlessly,” Horne commented

From product development to deployment, training and support, SG Gaming has worked closely with William Hill to deliver a complete solution that takes their retail offer to the next level.

“We look forward to continuing to support William Hill on their sports betting strategy and demonstrating the value that SG Gaming and the wider Scientific Games group of companies can bring to their business.”

William Hill UK director of UK retail Nicola Frampton backed Horne’s comments stating that the initial terminal roll-out had run smoothly

“The SSBT is a key part of our omni-channel strategy, so shop customers can continue to benefit from William Hill innovations in other areas,”

“A key reason for our decision to partner with SG Gaming was their strong operational infrastructure which we have seen demonstrated throughout this rollout.”
