Peak Performance…Sky Betting & Gaming migrates Sky Bet Engine to Amazon Web Services

Seeking to gain improved all-around scalability combined with peak operating performance, Sky Betting & Gaming (SB&G) has informed that it has migrated its Sky Bet trading engine onto Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing systems.

Having recently built new trading and pricing provisions/components for SkyBet.com, SB&G’s in-house development and engineering teams had trialled Amazon serverless computing modules.

By migrating its Sky Bet engine onto AWS systems, SB&G engineering details that the company will gain a number of benefits including; faster speed/load times, lower operating costs, improved deployment resources and better product testing environments, which will be supported by a number of AWS tools.

SB&G’s full decision to migrate its bet engine onto AWS systems is fully detailed by ‘Sky Bet Trading Tribe’ Software Engineer Leanne Jagger in a recent company blog posted on engineering.Skeybettingandgaming.com.

As an industry operator, SB&G continues its focus of building its in-house platform capabilities and expanding its digital infrastructure. The operator has previously detailed that on its busiest days it can record + 53 million player transactions across its online gambling portfolio.

In order to sustain its operations, SB&G has undertaken numerous recruitment drives adding resources to its Leeds HQ and Sheffield development hub, making SB&G one of Yorkshire’s leading tech recruiting enterprises.
