VideoSlots shows poker hand acquiring PKR technology assets

Alexander Stevendahl

Malta-based independent igaming firm VideoSlots (VideoSlots.com) has informed that it has agreed to acquire bankrupt PKR’s online poker technology.

Updating stakeholders, VideoSlots CEO Alexander Stevendahl detailed initial plans for his firm to relaunch PKR’s ‘unique 3D poker room’. Furthermore, VideoSlots will add a PKR technology downloadable application to its flagship online casino vertical.

Suffering from player liquidity and cash flow issues, legacy online poker room PKR entered administration last May.

Once a leading destination for online poker players, PKR’s significant drop in active players saw the firm merge its standalone platform with Microgaming’s MPN network in order to counter player liquidity factors.

At present, VideoSlots plans for PKR remain vague. However, Stevendahl is pleased to have undertaken VideoSlots first acquisition taking over all PKR’s related poker assets.

“The purchase of PKR’s unique 3D poker clients provides us with the platform to introduce a proven poker product to our customers.” Stevendahl details “VideoSlots has led the way in shaping the online casino sector in recent years and we will be looking to offer the same innovative experience with our poker product.”
