NYX appoints former Oracle VP Chris Armes as Group Technology lead

Updating the market, Toronto TSX-listed gambling technology supplier NYX Gaming Group (NYX) has confirmed the appointment of Chris Armes as new Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

A technology leadership veteran, Armes joins NYX’s executive team from global operating systems provider Oracle, where he served as Vice President of Engineering.

Confirming the executive appointment, NYX governance stated that it had gained proven technology leader in Armes with 25-years’ experience leading large-scale, multi-stakeholder tech and engineering projects.

NYX Gaming Group CEO Matt Davey commented on the appointment: “We’re pleased to welcome Chris to the team, and we look forward to him providing technical direction across numerous areas of our product-led strategy.”

As new Group CTO,  Armes will oversee the company’s support and product development teams across Sportsbook, Lotteries, Bingo and Casino, bringing together these different products under one cohesive delivery model, enacting the company’s product-led strategy.

“I’m thrilled to be joining NYX Gaming Group in what is a very exciting period of growth for the company,” stated Armes on joining NYX leadership.

“I’m looking forward to working closely with NYX customers to ensure that our product innovation is in line with their current and future needs.”
