US daily fantasy sports operator DraftKings continues its executive team restructure, confirming the appointment of R. Stanton Dodge as its new Chief Legal Officer (CLO).
A seasoned US media legal expert, Dodge joins DraftKings leadership team from telecommunications services provider DISH Networks where he serves as Group General Counsel.
Dodge joins DraftKings, as the DFS operator seeks to bring new products to market and expand its international footprint.
As new CLO, Dodge will oversee the company’s Legal and Government Affairs teams based in the firm’s Boston headquarters, and report to DraftKings CEO and co-founder Jason Robins.
“Stanton brings to DraftKings a wealth of experience and expertise in legal and government affairs,” commented Robins on the appointment
“During his nearly two decades at DISH, he helped the company grow from a startup in a fledgling industry into a telecommunications giant. Stanton will be a major driver and enabler of DraftKings’ future growth as we continue to evolve and expand into new lines of business around the world, and we are very excited to have him join the talented group of women and men who work at DraftKings.”
