Ladbrokes Politics offers the Buzz on Hammond’s budget

Ahead of the tomorrow’s National Budget presented by UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond, Ladbrokes Politics has launched its ‘Buzzword Bingo’ market.

On Wednesday lunchtime, the UK prepares for the Chancellor’s annual speech at Commons, with Ladbrokes pricing up its special ‘Exchequer Budget Buzzword Bingo’ market, in which the bookmaker details that ‘Brexit’ at 1/3 will be the most likely word to be heard.

Further odds-on words used by Chancellor Hammond may include ‘Northern Powerhouse’ (1/2) and ‘Prosperity (4/5) while it’s even-money ‘Millenials’ gets a mention.

However Ladrokes Politics believes that it will be less likely punters will hear ‘Magic Money Tree’ (6/1) or ‘Boris’ (10/1), although the rank outsider of the market is ‘Omnishambles’ at 25/1.

Meanwhile, it’s just 4/5 the Chancellor sports a blue tie (something 90% of Ladbrokes punters have backed), with 2/1 on offer for red and 10/1 for grey.. And the bookies can report that one punter stands to win £100 if Hammond dons an EU Flag Design (100/1).

Further budget frolics, sees Ladbrokes have odds on Ken Clarke falling asleep during the speech (16/1).

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes commented on 2017 Budget Buzzword Bingo: “Buzzword Bingo is back and the early interest is on the odds-on shots, although a mention of ‘fit for the future’ from a blue-tied Hammond could see us out of pocket!”
