The world of gaming is an incredibly busy and competitive environment, encompassing many themes, and competitively fought by a host firms for the all important attention of consumers.

One such corner of this world is sports themed games, a sector within which InBet Games are well versed having scooped the ‘Best Sport Themed Game’ at the SBC Awards 2017 for its Penalty Kick offering.

Pavel Korolev, Business Development Director at InBet Games, has spoken to SBC about the successes of 2017, the appeal of Penalty Kick and the year ahead.

SBC: As we have crossed over the finishing line of 2017, could you sum the year up on behalf of InBet Games?

Pavel Korolev: For InBet Games this past year has been a fruitful year, a year of crossing new milestones and making new, great achievements. InBet Games have made some brilliant additions to our versatile gaming solutions portfolio, which have been quite successful. Among these added solutions are slot games Aladdin’s Lamp and Pirate’s Cave, a few variations of Keno lotteries, such virtual games as 3D Trone Race, 3 Dogs Race, Penalty Kick, as well as our innovative gaming platform DAREBS, that allows gamers to bet on real time events.

A number of our most popular slot games, like Aladdin’s Lamp, Christmas Luck and others, saw the addition of a new free spin feature to their gaming properties. The company also concluded several strategic partnerships with international gaming operators and betting solutions suppliers, such as Digitain and BetConstruct. These strategic partnerships are deemed beneficial, as they will facilitate mutual expansion of our product portfolios and enable us to reach a wider market segment, generating more business for all the parties.

Over this year, InBet Games has expanded its global market outreach and established a stronger presence in Africa and Latin America. The year has also seen our company getting shortlisted by SBC for three nominations: Stand Alone Platform provider of the Year, White Label Supplier of the Year for superior mathematics models and fascinating entertainment engagement, and International Gaming Awards Innovative Supplier of the Year for introducing our unique and innovative DAREBS platform to the global gaming industry.

One the brightest highlights of the year has been winning the SBC Award as The Best Sport Themed Game of the Year, for bringing on our top-notch Penalty Kick virtual football game to the market. The game was rendered a top rank by the SBC judging panel.

SBC: What was the thought process behind the idea to launch the Penalty Kick game? And why do you think it holds an appeal for users?

PK: Inspired by the upcoming 2018 FIFA Confederations Cup, we at InBet Games came up with the idea to launch the Penalty Kick game. Here at InBet, we share many of our friends and customers passion for football.

We wanted to reinforce the Russian World Cup Image and take a foothold on the market by delivering a new, dynamic, dramatic and thrilling game that conveys a true spirit of football to gamers, and we know there are many football fans out there whose passions for the game will strongly resonate in such suspenseful gaming moments as a penalty kick is!

SBC: How important is it to be able to offer a variety of different betting options within the game?

PK: Offering a variety of betting options within a game is very important, as it unveils more chances for a player to win and enhances a player’s engagement in gaming process, thus urging a player to spend more and increasing operators’ gaming revenues. For example, in Penalty Kick, there are a few betting options. One option is for a player to bet on the taker’s victory or the goalkeeper saving the ball.

Other options are for a player to make bets on the positioning of the ball which could be upper, middle or lower levels, whereas the biggest wins can be achieved by predicting a rebound off the post or the exact ‘cell’ (1-24) for the penalty.

SBC: How do you plan to develop the game moving into 2018 and approaching the Russia World Cup?

PK: We are planning to diversify our sports betting portfolio, making football and the Russia World Cup the main theme, as well as promote sales of our DAREBS platform to more markets to enable more operators across the globe provide their punters with options to make bets on the Russia 2018 World Cup in a real time mode.
