Mediarex Sports and Entertainment announced last Friday that PokerStars will be the main sponsor of the Global Poker League. According to the press release of PokerStars they will help GPL to improve the transisiton from a ‘player experience’ to ‘fan experience’.
Eric Hollreiser, PokerStars’ director of corporate communications, said in the press release that the GPL will bring an innovative team-based twist to poker, and he is looking forward to help Mediarex to gain a new audience for poker.
Team PokerStars is already supporting GPL with their participation, mainly ElkY, Jason Mercier, Liv Boeree and Vanessa Selbst.
