Scottish club Celtic are ready to announce Dafabet as their new primary shirt sponsor. In what could be the biggest sponsor deal in Scottish Football, the betting company are looking to replace Magners for the 2016-17 season.
As reported in Soccerex, Celtic are looking to secure a long-term deal to replace outgoing shirt sponsor Magners. Dafabet is Asia’s number one online betting and gaming site and is keen to solidify a partnership with Celtic to continue its global development.
Celtic signed a five-year partnership with Dafabet in 2015. This deal saw the Philippines-based company become the 46-times Scottish Premier League (SPL) champions’ official international betting partner.
John Cruces, head of sports marketing and sponsorship at Dafabet, said: “No matter where you go around the world, you always see a Celtic shirt such is their worldwide support.”
Dafabet is the shirt sponsor of English soccer sides Sunderland AFC and Blackburn Rovers and, until the end of last season, also sponsored Aston Villa. It also title sponsors the Welsh Premier League, the top soccer division in Wales.
