Guns N’ Roses Strong Favourites for Glastonbury 2017

This year saw Muse, Adele and Coldplay grace the Pyramid Stage in the three headline slots but just as soon as it’s over the bookies are looking ahead to next year. Glastonbury_Festival_2011

As far back as last year Michael Eavis suggested he already has two of the three headliners for 2017 lined up which has led to bookmakers and music fans alike trying to figure out who these could be.

William Hill has opened a market and made Guns N’ Roses the out and out favourite (evens) to be one of the headliners, with Foo Fighters (6/4) and Radiohead (2/1) strong contenders too.

The recently reformed Stone Roses and Kasabian are also in the running with William Hill analysts evidently of the opinion that Eavis’ 2017 theme is all male guitar led rock bands.

An interesting potential outsider shout is Rhianna at 7/1.

William Hill Spokesman Joe Crilly said of the market: “After yet another successful Glastonbury, all thoughts will already be turning towards 2017’s festival and it looks likely that a couple of recently reformed bands – Guns N’ Roses and The Stone Roses – may be headlining the Pyramid Stage next summer.”
