Stockholm Nasdaq-listed LeoVegas has confirmed the appointment of Andreas Bardun as its new Head of Sportsbook.

Bardun joins the Malta-based operator from Betsson Group, where he led sports betting operations for its Nordicbet subsidiary brand and further held senior management positions within its sports betting department.

Reporting to Robin Ramm-Ericson, LeoVegas Co-Founder, and Chief Experience Officer, Bardun will be charged with leading LeoVegas Sports operations and market offers as the mobile-centric operator looks to quickly expand its services within the saturated markets of Scandinavia and the UK.

LeoVegas Sports was launched last may in time for the start of Euro 2016, as new market entrants LeoVegas governance have stated that they will aim to offer the most dynamic and engaging mobile service for betting consumers.

Commenting on the appointment of Bardun, Johan Styren, CEO of LeoVegas Mobile Gaming stated,

“At LeoVegas we are really lucky to have some of the most talented people in the business, and I’m extremely happy to announce that Andreas is now yet another great talent joining. LeoVegas Sport has already managed to capture the interest of many new players who chose us as their sportsbook of choice along with our already existing casino players who are also showing a genuine interest in Sports.”

Taking on the position of Head of Sportsbook for LeoVegas, Andreas Bardun commented

“LeoVegas has firmly established itself as a mobile first company. I believe that sportsbook is all about mobile and for a sportsbook enthusiast such as myself, moving to LeoVegas, was therefore a no-brainer. I feel that LeoVegas gives me the right tools to deliver the vision I have for the sportsbook of the future.”

“In the very short while that LeoVegas Sports has been live, it has delivered one of the fastest sportsbook experiences in the industry. We have some really interesting things in the pipeline that are set to offer new standards in the mobile sports betting experience. I feel that at LeoVegas I can make a difference.”
