Tabcorp strengthens Board advisory with Bruce Akhurst & Vickki McFadden appointments

Australian ASX-listed gambling operator Tabcorp Holdings has moved to strengthen its governance advisory by appointing Bruce Akhurst and Vickki McFadden as Non-Executive Directors.

Tabcorp adds to its advisory board Bruce Akhurst, a veteran Australian technology and management expert who currently serves as Executive Chairman of advertising services firm AdStream.

Vickki McFadden will further assist Tabcorp governance on strategic investments, banking and M&A planning. McFadden currently serves as Chairman of Eftpos Debit Card Pty Ltd and President of the Australian Takeovers Panel.

Tabcorp Chairman Paula Dwyer welcomed the appointment of Akhurst and McFadden to the Tabcorp Board. 

“Bruce and Vickki bring diverse skills and deep commercial and board experience to Tabcorp, drawing from areas such as investment banking, law and digital media. We look forward to them joining and contributing to the Company,” Ms Dwyer said.

Both McFadden and Akhurst will be formally appointed as Directors following the receipt of the necessary regulatory and ministerial approvals. In the meantime they will act as observers on the Board from 1 September 2016.
