Malta – 14, November 2016 – Valery Bollier, CEO and Co-founder of Oulala.com, has been awarded the title of ‘Data and Business Intelligence 2016 Idol of the Year‘ at the first ever ceremony of the MIGS16 iGaming Idol competition.

6 of the Best – Oulala’s Valery Bollier-media-1This year, the organisers of the eighth edition of the Malta iGaming Seminar launched a new initiative to promote employees working in the Maltese iGaming community, which consists of more than 8,000. The awards event was the first of its kind in the industry and was aimed at recognising individuals in every sector of iGaming (marketing, tech, finance, etc.). Prior to the event, top three finalists in each category faced a series of challenges, knowledge and skills tests before a panel of the experts and judges, who then voted for their favourite candidate.

The highlight of the Gala Dinner and Awards event at the Hilton Grand Master Suite was the announcement of 11 winners in each category. During his acceptance speech, Bollier said that the award is a result of teamwork: ”This prize rewards the outstanding work of the entire Oulala team that is using Data and BI to build and lead the Daily Fantasy Sports market in Europe.”

After receiving a Community award for supporting the startup community and promoting Digital Malta! in July, this is a second award of its kind for a vocal supporter of the Maltese digital sector: ”I believe there are a lot of talented and skilled people in our industry here in Malta, and combined with hard work we can achieve great things. Many internationally successful Malta-based companies are a direct proof of that.”

It’s worth mentioning that a part of the revenue from each ticket sold will go to charity, namely the Malta Community Chest Fund.
