Addressing the delegates at the 8th Annual Malta iGaming Seminar (MiGS) this month, the Executive Chairman of the Malta Gaming Authority, Joseph Cuschieri, spoke candidly and enthusiastically about the developments in the new Gaming Bill. Mr. Cuschieri confirmed that the updated law will do away with the 4 class category licencing system currently in place and will instead have two generic categories, being B2B (business to business) and B2C (business to consumer).

Mr. Cuschieri spoke of how the Bill is the culmination of months of effort. It is proposed that the Bill will be presented to Parliament for discussion by March 2017.

The regulatory changes being proposed ensure that Malta remains at the forefront of the gaming industry.
