League of Legends leader stretches gap at the top

Another Premier League weekend has come to end, which means more movers and shakers in SBC’s League of Legends.

Gameweek ten started and finished with 1-0 victories, Manchester United defeating Spurs and Burnley going over Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle by the scoreline, in a round which saw the new fantasy football leader build on his lead at the top of table.

SBC’s Charlie Cole, who last week took to the summit by a solitary point, has now stretched his lead to some 21 points.  Manchester United’s Phil Jones (9 points) and Mohamed Salah (8) his top scorers, but it could’ve been so much better for ‘Missed The Deadline,’ missing out on double points after captain Sergio Aguero was left on the sidelines by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Just behind is a tie for second place, with longtime leader James Birch joined by Fantasybet’s Viktor Enoksen on 591 points.  Enoksen has United duo Jones (9) and captain Romelu Lukaku (10) to thank for his 49 points, while Birch, who left Jones on the bench, saw Harry Maguire top score with 6 points on his way to an overall 28.

This week’s top scorer is Paul Hanlon, whose impressive 87 point haul saw him climb up to fourth, just one point adrift of Enoksen and Birch.  After boldly placing Fernandinho as captain, the Manchester City midfielder secured the second highest round score of 13 points (doubled to 26).  He was ably assisted by team-mate Leroy Sane (12), now the highest overall points scorer, and Liverpool duo James Milner (12) and Roberto Firmino (8), who brushed aside Huddersfield Town 3-0 at Anfield.

Next weekend all eyes could well be on Sunday as Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur host struggling Crystal Palace, and managerless Everton see Watford visit Goodison Park.  These sandwich two blockbuster games at the top of the Premiership, with City‘s hosting of Arsenal followed by a return to Stamford Bridge for Jose Mourinho as United visit Chelsea.
