Ladbrokes: Bookies embracing the transfer rumour mill

Ladbrokes have priced up a whole host of potential replacements for the seemingly exit-bound Philippe Coutinho, and Man United’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan is among the favourites.

The bookies have suspended betting on Coutinho’s next destination, and 4/1 says Mkhitaryan replaces him at Anfield.

Real Madrid ace Dani Ceballos remains the 6/4 favourite to make a move ahead of Leon Goretzka (9/4) and Julian Draxler (5/2).

There’s a 6/1 outside chance that former Premier League winner, Riyad Mahrez swaps Leicester for Liverpool, while Thomas Lemar is a 10/3 shot for a move before the end of next summer’s transfer window.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes commented: “Mourinho’s made it clear he no longer wants Mkhitaryan in Manchester, but if the Armenian is to remain in the Prem he looks most likely to reunite with Klopp on Merseyside.”

Elsewhere, Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez is now just 4/6 to leave Arsenal this month and Nabil Fekir is the most likely man to replace him at the Emirates, according to Ladbrokes.

The Chile international has been odds-on for an imminent Arsenal exit for some time, but the bookies have now priced up the five most likely men to replace him.

Fekir is now as short as 6/4 to join the Gunners between now and the end of the summer transfer window, while Thomas Lemar is the next most likely man for a move at 9/4.

Wilfried Zaha is 5/2 to swap Selhurst Park for the Emirates, with Julian Draxler and Marco Asensio 7/2 and 5/1 shots respectively.

Apati added: “Gooners are set to lose their star man, but it’s not all bad news if the latest odds are anything to go by – it looks as though Wenger is already lining up a replacement.”
