Kevin Sheehan terminates Scientific Games governance contract

Nasdaq-listed gambling technology group Scientific Games Corporate (SGC) has confirmed that former Chief Executive Kevin Sheehan and corporate legal advisor Viet D Dinh will no longer serve on the firm’s board of directors.

Issuing an SEC filing, Scientific Games reveals that both Sheehan and Dinh have departed the company this September, choosing to terminate their governance roles.

Kevin Sheehan had served as Group CEO of Scientific Games since August 2016, leading the Nasdaq enterprises aggressive M&A growth strategy, adding a number of new digital components to SGC’s enlarged entity.

In May, SGC governance announced that Sheehan would be replaced as corporate leader by former EA Interactive President Barry Cottle. At the time, SGC disclosed that Sheehan would be kept as an executive advisor.

Last month, US automotive rental firm Hertz Global Holdings announced that Sheehan had joined its Board of Directors.

Governance counterpart Viet D Dinh has served as an SGC legal corporate advisor since 2017.

This week US news sources reported that Dinh had been appointed as Chief Legal Officer of ‘New Fox’, a business entity that will be created by media mogul Rupert Murdoch following the planned sale of 21st Century Fox assets.
