‘Beyond The Push’… 2mee launches bookmaker video messaging

Mobile engagement and development studio 2mee, wants industry operators to push further their video and marketing assets.

This week, the York-based start-up announced the launch of its new Face Messaging – video push notification tool’, with the company actively targeting sportsbook operators.

2mee’s ‘Face Messaging’ allows betting brands to quickly create and edit, real-time video content be it for marketing campaigns, retention or promotional messaging, which can be delivered straight to a player’s device.

Launching Face Messaging, 2mee Founder David Soppelsa states that video messages can bring new benefits and dynamics to a sportsbook’s mobile marketing campaigns, beyond standard push notifications.

Soppelsa further details that Face Messaging will be able to enhance the capacity of mobile marketing campaigns, utilising a bookmaker’s full marketing inventory. For example, making use of bookmaker ‘Brand Ambassadors’ for mobile campaigns.

“The ambassador then records the video message on their smartphone and sends it back to the operator, who then pushes it out to their players via their own native app. This can be done anytime, anywhere, meaning operators have access to bespoke video content on demand.”

Speaking to SBC, Soppelsa further detailed a number of much-needed brand development benefits for bookmakers who utilise Face Messaging.

“2mee has created a system for creating video Face Messages in real time and connecting with customers as push notifications that instantly engage and build trust in the brand. It’s known that watching a video of a person speaking to you communicates 60,000 times fast than text. Research at the University of York has shown that trust can be built in just 33 milliseconds by looking at the face of the speaker. And just this week the same team has shown that we are hard-wired to respond to faces – apparently, people know over 5,000 different faces!”
