Stockholm-listed online gambling group Betsson AB has today announced that Tristan Sjöberg has resigned from its Board of Directors.

Issuing a short corporate update, Betsson cites that Sjöberg has resigned due to his ongoing dispute with the Swedish Tax Authority related to personal tax liabilities.

The announcement sees Sjöberg end his six-month tenure as a Betsson AB corporate director and governance advisor.

A seasoned executive in industry finance and enterprise strategy, Sjöberg is the current Executive Chairman of gambling equipment manufacturer TCSJOHNHUXLEY.

Furthermore, Sjöberg is the Co-Founder and Director of Scandinavian investment fund Knutsson Holdings AB, a private equity firm with significant holdings in NetEnt, Catena Media and Betsson AB.

This September Betsson governance announced the departure of Kaaren Hilsen as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), confirming that the executive would return to Telenor Sweden, following less than a year spent in the leadership position.

Further to its governance announcement, Betsson AB confirms that it will publish its Q3 2018 results on 24 October 2018.
