LeoVegas reshuffles marketing and comms leadership pack

Stockholm-listed LeoVegas AB confirms that it has undertaken a restructuring of its marketing division, seeking to strengthen its internal operations and leadership.

Following July’s promotion of Louise Nylén, to the position of Deputy CEO, LeoVegas governance has moved to split the executive’s former Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) responsibilities.

Updating stakeholders, LeoVegas has placed Petra Blixt as one of two Marketing Directors, leading player acquisition and online marketing initiatives.

Blixt is the former Head of Acquisition for LeoVegas, who has formerly led the Stockholm enterprise’s affiliate, PPC and paid media verticals.

Claes af Burén

LeoVegas’ creative and brand disciplines, will be led by new Claes af Burén recruit who joins the company from Stockholm marketing agency – DamnGoodAgency, where he served as CEO.

The executive appointment sees Burén lead creative marketing directives for LeoVegas and its group subsidiary brands.

“I have a very positive view of our work on strengthening our marketing department and leadership with these two great people,” says Louise Nylén, Deputy CEO.

“With this change, we have more clearly defined the responsibilities in marketing and have added brand-building expertise, which gives us even better opportunities for sustainable growth.”

Irena Busic

A tech and enterprise communications expert, Busic joins LeoVegas executive team from corporate transformation consultancy Hyper Island, where she most recently served as Global HR Director.

A key appointment, Busic has further executive experience, having served as communications lead and advisor for the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.

“The need to tell our story and who we are is becoming increasingly important while we also have a vision to change the perception to the industry. Irena’s broad experience will make her an important asset for the Group” says Gustaf Hagman, Group CEO
