WatchandWager sign new deal with Hong Kong Jockey Club

London-listed Webis Holding has penned a new three-year deal with the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) which will see the betting and racetrack operator allow its customers bet directly into the pools offered at Hong Kong’s famous racecourses, Sha Tin and Happy Valley.

The partnership, which originally began in 2013, will allow customers of Webis’ advance deposit wagering (ADW) business, WatchandWager.com, to place bets on international championship race meetings, including the Group 1 Hong Kong Cup, the Group 1 Hong Kong Gold Cup, and the Group 1 Hong Kong Vase, until the end of the 2021/22 racing season.

“We are delighted to secure this contract extension with one of the most prestigious racing jurisdictions in the world, the Hong Kong Jockey Club,” said Webis CEO and WatchandWager president Ed Comins.

“The relationship between WatchandWager and the HKJC has benefitted both organizations, and we look forward to promoting their premier races to our customers for many years to come.”

Webis and the HKJC first began working together in 2013 when WatchandWager became the first international ADW allowed to offer wagering directly into the pools at Happy Valley and Sha Tin.

Since the partnership was first agreed, WatchandWager has contributed in excess of $100m (£78.6m) to the bets wagered upon the Jockey Club’s pools.
