Paddy Power launches DFS vertical in time for NFL kick-off

Paddy Power has launched a Daily Fantasy Sports vertical ahead of the start of the 2019 NFL season (kick-off: 5 September).

The bookmaker details that its DFS product has been developed in partnership with Flutter Entertainment group subsidiary FanDuel and will be made available to UK and Ireland customers.

The Paddy Power DFS vertical’s gameplay will be based on a standard ‘defined salary cap’ mirroring FanDuel models. In addition, to its NFL inventory, Paddy Power gains a new fantasy sports vertical for the English Premier League, further broadening the bookmaker’s product portfolio.

Paddy Power DFS will allow players to select multiple line-ups for game-to-game, rather than relying on the outcome of every single match across the whole season.

“This has been a truly collaborative effort from our teams in the UK and the US, who have worked closely to create a new, exciting product for customers in UK and Ireland.” Paddy Power states in its product update.

“We believe there is a real appetite for a fantasy-based product that offers rewards each week while reducing the burden of regularly updating a team. While the NFL market will be the most popular at begin with, we think this will shift toward other sports, including football, through a mixture of cross-selling and product marketing.”

Paddy Power DFS has been made available at https://fantasy.paddypower.com/ , and can be further accessed through the Paddy Power sportsbook app.
