Onefootball deepens Sportradar partnership driving OTT ambitions

Football media platform Onefootball has deepened its partnership with Sportradar, appointing the sports data intelligence firm to develop its OTT proposition.

Berlin-headquartered Onefootball, seeks to expand its football content capacity showcasing ‘premium football rights’ across its digital platforms via PPV modules delivered by Sportradar.

Covering over 100 international leagues comprehensively, Onefootball operates the world’s most popular football app, which last year reported 35 million active users ahead of World Cup 2018 kick-off.

Sportradar has served as Onefootball’s lead data API and live score services provider since 2014.

Onefootball CEO & Founder, Lucas von Cranach, said: “We are delighted to be taking our next steps in the streaming market and also build on our existing relationship with Sportradar by utilising and jointly customising their state-of-the-art OTT solution for our purposes.

Powering Onefootball’s OTT ambitions, Sportradar has recently secured PPV live streaming packages with Sky Deutschland, for Bundesliga 2 and DFB-Pokal matches in Germany, and Eleven Sports for domestic Serie C matches in Italy as well as selected premium matches in Belgium and Luxemburg
