Mr Green demands UK Casino publishers stop advertising

Mr Green, the online casino property of William Hill Plc, has issued an ‘urgent request’ to its UK affiliate marketing publishers demanding that all active advertising be stopped with immediate effect.

The online casino brand cites ‘recent changes in compliance’ for its urgent demand requesting partner publishers to terminate all advertising inventory related to Mr Green casino, its promotions and further live gaming content.

Mr Green is the flagship European online gambling brand of MRG Group, a former Stockholm-listed igaming enterprise acquired by William Hill at the start of 2019 for €270 million.

The acquisition of Mr Green was regarded as a significant strategic step by William Hill, who secured a multi-market online casino brand to help the UK legacy betting group expand its international presence and profile.

Publishing its latest unaudited January 2020 trading statement, William Hill governance detailed that ‘online international performance was mixed’, anticipating net revenues to be flat closing full-year 2019 trading.

Updating its affiliate partners, Mr Green marketing maintains that its required changes will only impact the promotion of online casino services.
