CalvinAyre.com stops publishing as Calvin moves fully into crypto

CalvinAyre.com has ceased updates and will no longer publish industry news for the global gambling sector.

Yesterday, website founder Calvin Ayre published a statement, confirming that his self-titled website would no longer be operational.

Ayre, the founder of Bodog Entertainment, launched CalvinAyre.com in 2009, having relinquished all active roles within the online gambling sector.

“I launched CalvinAyre.com due to my dissatisfaction with the news sites that then dominated discussion of the gaming sector” Ayre’s statement read.

“I found their coverage too deferential to the established giants of the day and too oblivious of the changes I saw looming on the horizon”.

Ayre remarked that the decision to close down the website was taken as his personal focus had shifted to covering the activities and development of the nascent crypto and bitcoin marketplaces, through his new website CoinGeek.com

Further to Ayre’s statement, lead industry reporter Rebecca Liggero confirmed that she would be moving to CoinGeek.com, covering crypto-related business developments.

Meanwhile, business contributors Rafi Farber, Daniel Gardner, Erik Gibbs and Derek Tonin all published their final goodbyes.

“You never forget your first love,” Ayre remarked closing his statement, “I encourage you to visit CoinGeek.com and join me on my next great adventure”.
