Betway renews responsible betting partnership with BIG

Online sportsbook Betway has renewed its partnership with esports organisation Berlin International Gaming (BIG), with a strong focus on responsible betting.

Maintaining this message, the partnership will feature numerous BIG competitors from across several esports tournaments participating to promote safer-gambling.

Additionally, Betway will utilise its Twitch and YouTube channels to promote the agreement and its message to esports fans internationally via the distribution of ‘top-tier content.’

“We have had an incredibly successful 2 years of sponsorship with BIG, and watching them develop into one of the world’s best CS:GO teams has been a true pleasure,” said Adam Savinson, Head of Esports at Betway.

“With today’s renewal, I’m excited to confirm our dedication to both BIG as an organisation as well as the wider CSGO industry.”

Having first signed an agreement with Betway in 2019, BIG has become an increasingly dominant company in the esports sector, with its Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) team winning multiple tournaments.

Daniel Finkler, CEO at BIG, added: “Today I am delighted to announce that our partnership with Betway, one of the world’s most famous betting operators, has been successfully extended.

“Since the start of our partnership in the early days of 2019, there have been many memorable moments with unforgettable victories and achievements that we are very proud of.”

The renewal will continue to promote Betway’s presence in the esports sector, having also recently struck a sponsorship deal with Brazilian CS:GO team ‘Made in Brazil’ (MIBR), following a contract extension with tournament organiser BLAST Premier in December 2020.
