BoyleSports confirms Mark Kemp as inbound CEO

BoyleSports has this weekend confirmed the forthcoming appointment of Mark Kemp as new company Chief Executive.

Kemp is expected to join the Dundalk betting group this coming August, replacing incumbent Conor Gray as CEO.

BoyleSports confirmed to media that Gray would be transitioned to a commercial development executive role focused on international expansion projects.

The former managing director of Ladbrokes Coral’s Gibraltar operations (2016-2019), Kemp currently serves as the managing director of UK racing’s new Tote Group under the management of the Alizeti consortium.

Company founder and chairman John Boyle backed the appointment of Kemp, citing the executive’s ‘digital leadership expertise’, which would drive a ‘critical channel of growth for Boylesports business’.

Confirming his move to BoyleSports, Kemp stated that he was taking over a well performing and experienced business within betting and gaming.

Prior to 2020’s COVID-19 pandemic, BoyleSports had begun undertaking its strategic expansion within the UK, acquiring new betting shop estates in the Midlands and the North of England – taking over the discontinued sites of competitors following the government’s £2 FOBTs wagering limits laws.

Closing 2020 trading, BoyleSports announced that it had renewed terms with Playtech Plc to continue to serve as lead digital systems provider – securing new upgrades for its igaming and live casino suite.
