Betition enlists Champions League winner Djibril Cissé as brand ambassador

Online sportsbook Betititon has made a new addition to its team, enlisting former France international and UEFA Champions League winning striker Djibril Cissé as a brand ambassador.

The appointment will serve to enhance Betition’s global sporting recognition and marketing, due to Cissé playing for a number of major clubs since 1998, having kickstarted his career in his native France at AJ Auxerre, where he scored 90 goals in 166 appearances.

Arnaud Serour, CEO & Co-Founder of Betiton, said: “Djibril Cissé is not only a major football star who has had an incredible career playing for some of the biggest clubs in the world, he has also overcome major injury setbacks and for us is the embodiment of determination and character. We have been working with him daily for the last few weeks, he’s a joy to work with and develop ideas and is also a fantastic human being.”

The striker is perhaps best known for his tenure in the Premier League with Liverpool, where he played a central role in the club’s aforementioned 2004/05 Champions League victory, as well as the successful FA Cup campaign in the same season.

He then went on to play for a range of iconic clubs including Marseille, Sunderland, Lazio and Queens Park Rangers, before finding further success in Greece with Panathinaikos, helping guide the club to a domestic double in 2010, lifting the Super League Greece and Greek Football Club trophies.

Internationally, he made 41 appearances for his home country’s national side, scoring nine goals and lifting the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2003, whilst also lifting the French domestic cup, the Coupe de France, in the same year with AJ Auxerre.
