Flutter Entertainment’s PokerStars is about to make another bold move and strengthen its presence in Formula 1 Racing.
After PokerStars Sport this summer already extended its partnership with Formula1 as the official betting sponsor until 2023, the leading gaming company has now agreed to a multi-year partnership with top team Red Bull Racing. This according to sources familiar with the matter.
The deal, years-in-the-making, will give the PokerStars Casino brand a prominent place on the Formula 1 racing car and driver’s racing gear. PokerStars Casino will be offering its players a full Red Bull experience in the form of special Red Bull Casino Races (online casino tournaments), promotional packages, events and merchandise.
The PokerStars and Red Bull Racing partnership is expected to be announced before the end of the current racing season. With just two races to go on the 2021 championship calendar, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Red Bull Racing is close to bagging a first championship title since 2013 with Max Verstappen 8 points ahead of Mercedes rival Lewis Hamilton.
This partnership is not the first between an F1 team and a gaming company. In May this year, Entain brands partypoker and PartyCasino signed a partnership agreement with the McLaren F1 team.
