The largest U.S. cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, Coinbase Global, will hire up to 2,000 people in 2022 as it looks to make use of opportunities in the development of Web 3, and other areas.
Chief People Officer L.J. Brock, made the announcement in a company blog post on Tuesday.
Brock said:
“We believe our industry is in its infancy and that building onramps for individuals to participate is critical to driving the next generation use case of crypto.”
The exchange will largely be hiring to strengthen its product, engineering and design teams as Coinbase will be launching new products in the area of NFTs and Coinbase Wallet.
The candidates will need to have a “mission-focused” mindset, according to the post. They should prioritize clear communication, efficient execution, and continuous learning, among other qualities.
On Sunday, Coinbase aired its already legendary Super Bowl advertisement which skyrocketed its App to the second spot in the Apple App Store within just one minute. The ad was plain, simple and very effective. All it showed was a QR code bounced around on the screen.
