American fantasy sports and betting platform, Draftkings, on Tuesday announced the company’s first in-house digital collectibles campaign called the “Primetime NFT Series,” which will showcase non-fungible tokens (NFTs) featuring college basketball stars and moments.
Named the “2022 College Hoops Collection,” collectors will be rewarded for their NFT patronage. Collectors who are able to complete the collection of eight editions of the Draftkings NFTs will get a ninth commemorative NFT of the NCAA championship game via an airdrop.
The Draftkings press release notes:
“This airdrop will grant collectors priority access to the next Primetime NFT Series drop.”
The company added:
“With each drop, collectors will be eligible to receive DK Dollars, which are site credits that can be used for gameplay across all parts of Draftkings’ digital sports entertainment and gaming ecosystem, like sportsbook and daily fantasy.
Eligible holders can use their 2022 College Hoops Collection NFT rewards to place bets and enter pools, brackets, or fantasy contests as all the buzzer-beaters and Cinderella stories unfold this season.”
