Crypto Exchange Blockchain.com Now Valued at $14 Billion After New Funding Round

After a new funding round raising an undisclosed amount, cryptocurrency exchange Blockchain.com is now a $14 billion valued company.

The funding round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with “major participation” from Baille Gifford & Co. The latter already invested $100 million in the platform in April of last year.

The exchange was founded in 2011 and has 37 million verified users across the globe. According to its website, one-third of all Bitcoin network transactions are made through it.

In March of last year, the exchange was valued at $5.2 billion after it raised $300 million with Lightspeed and VY Capital participating in that round.
