Amsterdam Football Club Ajax has signed a lucrative sponsorship deal with Unibet.
The online betting and casino operator will be the official betting partner of the 36-fold Dutch national champion.
For the duration of the four year contract, signed until the summer of 2026, Unibet will reportedly pay the Amsterdam football team close to three million euros a year.
Unibet was recently given the green light by the Dutch Gambling Authority (Kansspelautoriteit, KSA) to legally offer online games of chance in the Netherlands.
According to Ajax, their choice for Unibet was evident with the sports betting site frontrunning the field of responsible gaming with Unibet’s Player Safety Early Detection System identifying at-risk behavior.
Included in the sponsorship agreement is that Ajax and Unibet will focus on match fixing prevention, mental health and responsible gaming.
