Another Banking Giant in Brazil Launches Crypto Trading Platform

Another big Brazilian financial institution has started offering crypto services. Brazil’s largest investment bank, BTG Pactual, on Monday opened a crypto trading platform, called Mynt.

On the same day, Brazil’s largest brokerage firm by market value, XP, launched its own cryptocurrency trading services called XTAGE.

On Mynt, BTG Pactual enables customers to trade the top crypto assets Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) and adding Solana (SOL), Polkadot (DOT) and Cardano (ADA) short after. Head of digital assets at BTG Pactual, André Portilho, said in an official announcement:

“Cryptocurrency is a new technology with enormous transformative potential, which brings both risks and opportunities. Entering the cryptocurrency space is another important step in meeting customer needs and filling gaps in the market.”

Portilho added:

“At the start, we will offer the two major assets in the market, but over time we will include other cryptocurrencies for trading. We will have a complete platform based on blockchain assets. In addition, Mynt will Provide content designed to educate and inform consumers about this new technology.”

Trading services are expected to be available to all BTG Pactual customers in October. At the moment, people can register on the website to access a masterclass on how to start cryptocurrency investing, while getting priority treatment at the official launch.
